I'm sure Homer's contempt was Matt's idea but Ned actually being wholesome probably didn't come from him.
This is probably even more baseless and likely to be wrong but I also can't see any of the moments that deeply humanize Homer coming from Matt either because daddy issues.
>>171283Hence my spite for Matt and The Simpsons. But I've run that into the ground.
A lot of mediocre people get wildly successful. It's one thing if it's for something they did (which is largely not the case here) and it's another if it inspired or captivated a lot of people (which is very much the case here.) It is a third thing if you don't use that success to try and actually do shit which I think is largely not the case here. I thought Futurama's pilot was funny, here's a shekel.
I was wrong about him being credited with literally one (1) episode of The Simpsons but still. The numbers don't lie- take away the pilots and misc. and it's like one episode per year of airing for Simps. This gets worse when you realize he has one other show that lasted fairly long and another show with a standard run.
The man has a deathgrip on the senses of humor and creative instincts of two generations through fairly banal jokes that he didn't even write.

I know this is pedantic but I really wish people would be more transparent when they speak of their "inspirations." Our language doesn't have a good way to express this, you'd just have to preface it with "The idea of"

My brain has to started ruminate on the idea of a premise even in my addled state. Whenever I write horror, it's very macroscopic which is good to start but bad for the kind of game it'd theoretically be. Ultimately, the more coherence there is, the less horrific things are and the more
