As someone who has played one (1) sesh of Smash Ultimate, I feel more vindicated in standing up, this biyearly time, to advocate for Waluigi. All you needed to do was to give him short, lanky disconnected hitboxes/hurtboxes moves and the ability to swim in air and I think you have a pretty sold niche for a character that DESERVES the place in the roster (he's a funny, silly dude) even if you don't have much to base his moveset on.
I am less confident on my proselytizing for WIND type but I still stand by it. I feel like I understand Pokémon less than Smash and I don't know if our resident Jimothy Cool viewer (I forgot who it was so if you report in as him, I'll just take it as fact) would think of it, my slight changes to existing types, and adding zombie and dinosaur (because I just thought they'd be fun to add because of Yu-Gi-Oh!; you can take or leave them)

Obviously, the main "culprit" is Dark Souls not that I really blame it for every indie dev and their cur wanting to write like its LORE texts for every game possible but people are basically making Shadow of the Colossus and then filling it with a bunch of ghosts that talk in purple prose about how everything went to dung after Mino was sacrificed. It's truly baffling.
Obviously TUNDRA EEL falls into this trap of DEEB!SIMPLE (Gaster) which always struck me as one of the most cynical aspects of those games even if Fobby "liked those kinds of things in games."

I know this is partially my anhedonia speaking but the "hype" cycle for media is so exhausting. It's never enough that something is slightly novel or good or interesting, it has to be epochal and deserves video essays and whatever.
Look Outside seems cool, fine but it's not ground-breaking in originality and a lot of its "bits" annoy the smurf out of me (though this is granted, mostly writing-related.) But it's blowing people's minds because of how low everyone's standards are. People do have the perspective to know that there are a lot of decent things out there but they still go nanners over "Good enough." A lot of these games that are so hyped get 15 minutes of fame and then completely forgotten except for game awards or remembering good games or 9x9s or smurfing whatever, the point is people talk them to death too quickly and run out of things to say. It just doesn't feel natural. It's like people are desperate. That's, at least, how it seems from what is mostly "the outside."
I know it hasn't been objective for the longest time but I can't parse what makes a hit or a game that gets jerked around like this. People should have higher standards and reservations- the excitement is simply unbecoming.
I guess it's cool that CBoyardee got a music gig though.

Also, Hu¢¢ie's rambling sort of confirms something that I've always kind of assumed to be true but now it's a lot more grounded- Hu¢¢ie absolutely hates Rose. She is exactly the kind of persnickety, high-standards person (who struggles to complete their own creative works) that is evidently the bane of his existence. That's why he made her a massive idiotic
smurf-up, a drunk, a lesbian display mannequin, and eventually, a cheater. What started as playful jabs quickly turned into character assassination (even the switcharoo can be seen as part of this because I'd imagine, in that point of time, he wouldn't have done it if he cared more about the characters) because Hu¢¢ie stopped caring about writing the story well.
We can trace Woodstock's downfall directly to the original cast containing a strawman, a self-insert, and a plot device that he had no emotional relationship with. The flaws of the series then branch from those elements (the strawman leads to things needlessly being subverted and characters being undermined out of spite, the self-insert bends all thematics and relationship dynamics around him, the plot device introduces random gimmicks and mechanics because he doesn't care about the emotional core with her. These patterns then apply to the larger cast that's introduced because they are, to put it nicely, in Hu¢¢ie's own terms, they are "iterative.")
To be pro-Rose and reject everyting past page 1407 is the most radical "
smurf you" you can send to Hu¢¢ie.

Finally got to the point in DQ5 where you have kids. I named them Tonnura (the name your dad tries to give you before your mom insists on the name you typed in), and Hime (ヒメ姫 is going to be funny, named after waifu, she does have the blonde hime haircut). The dungeon right before has some cute puzzles. It's really short and it's basically just the cute puzzles, but it fits the narrative so it's fine. However I did not expect smurfing Candata to show up. It was kind of sad how much of a pushover he was, considering his fights in 3 were pretty tough, but I guess he also shows up earlier in that game. I guess he's like Tingle and/or Terry, and he gets to exist in multiple timelines and eras for no particular reason?
You can really feel the games becoming more linear, and it's kind of sad, but also the stories are really good. If they put more effort into the set pieces, I could live with it, but the dungeons are still pretty weak over all. They don't do enough puzzles and gimmicks, but also they don't do enough serious labyrinths. I do suspect we are right at the verge of the game opening up.

Highscooler lust is highschool lust where you're looking at the world around you with rose-tinted glasses. It's a way of freezing time so that it feels like it's already in the past but will last forever. You want puppydog love that's warped because of unrealistic but still ultimately human expectations and not just basically LARPing (which is preteen romance.) The delusions of the highschoolersare still kept by the inexperienced romantic who never learned otherwise (but subconsciously understand that it's idealized) so they seek to recreate it in fiction where it's TRVE.
This, of course, isn't completely dependent on age but it's part of what makes otakusphere teenagers compelling (they tend not to act like real people or teenagers in ways other than this too) to real world

It seems like a decent chunk of old companies and new companies make VR games because "Well, if you have a VR thing and you want VR games, you don't have a ton of options" so it's a market for middle of the road games, like XBox Live 2 (yes, I'm saying the quality of the average XBox Live game is middling even though I know there was some complete trash on there because of how low Steam releases can get) without the dredges of non-VR Steam or the higher "QA" of actual consoles these days. I might need to read more of the commentaries but I think he solely lapses into one of his modes, the overly-mechanical, abstract WORDS WORDS WORDS one, when talking about Rose and Kanaya's interactions (talking strangely and distantly as to make the rather limp situational comedy more "readable.") FROM THE DESK OFROSE LALONDE
The populist European right likes to present itself as the future, but they have been doing the same thing for at least a decade: copying Americans to the point of absurdity, promoting geopolitical fragmentation, blaming the European Union for problems caused by national governments, cuddling up to Israeli ultra-nationalists and the Putin regime, little vision on matters not related to immigration besides just reacting to the left, no positivity, nothing constructive, constant anger, endless conferences on "protecting Judeo-Christian values", always the same faces - Orban, Wilders, Salvini, Le Pen.
May the defeat of Orban be the nail in the coffin of this type of politics. Things have already started to change. Open support for Russia is increasingly rare. Bardella and prominent voices within the AfD have called for European nuclear weapons and Le Pen senior's grand daughter says we should claim the European flag as a symbol of our civilization.
Trump's return to power, or at least his behavior since then, was an important catalyst for this development.
For the right to win, it must pick Europe's side against any threat, not only against mass immigration. - RL No.17110

From an optics standpoint, I think it's a big mistake and their paranoia about alleged death threats or gangstalking are only going to make them more substantial or real. I hope those two absolute retards blow each other up and Huss gets meaningfully exposed (because right now, it's basically just politely ignored) for all the dung we know and can infer about him.
Makin got his cock handed to him, now it's time for Hu¢¢ie. FRAF or whatever should go nuclear overnight. The fandom sentiment isn't "Hu¢¢ie is a bad person but I still like the comic" yet which is baffling and absurd. I just hope we get that last push so the community sentiment is at least slightly more aligned with reality.
