BPDemon. I don't think I need to elaborate on this one.
"Does their job"

>I would've place 'harmless failure' girls firstYeah, that's probably first or second (to BPDemon.) If Evangelion had a harmless, quirky failgirl, it'd be completely tainted by tranime fans as opposed to our current reality where the fanbase is pretty fractured with only AsukaXRei and MisatoxRitsuko

besotted with showing off their skills. "Yeah, they're Asian" Yeah, but Asians can be chill gamers, all the Asian girls and hapa girls multiplayer game gamers I've met are cock-grinding psychos.
I met one from TF2 that was like a real-life Vriska. It was

>>29995Google translated a big comment on one of the songs:
"That was the freest, most cheerful, and healthiest time of my life.
It was also the longest recess of my elementary school years.
The afternoon sunlight pierced the playground grass with intensity, drawing out the fragrance of the earth.
Using the abundant fruit of the banyan tree as ammunition, the other children from the after-school program and I would calculate each other's movements—and master the physics of parabolas we hadn't yet learned in class—to launch that winning shot.
We would turn to search for more potent ammo, like *Bidens* burrs, only to discover that the banyan fruit still held an overwhelming advantage in range.
It is a treasure to cherish until the very end, an endless wellspring of fuel rising from the depths of the heart when facing a bleak, hollow reality.
The flame is neither fierce nor dazzling; it burns small and pure, yet it makes me feel… capable of doing something again.
In moments of exhaustion, emptiness, despair, anxiety, numbness, or confusion, I sometimes recall that sunlight. Back then, it scorched my skin, yet I didn't care in the least; today, it scorches my soul, remaining the one mental image that refuses to fade.
But the person I am now is no longer free, cheerful, or healthy—and no longer a child.
May everyone who hears this piano piece recall such a memory, and remember a time when they, too, were that version of themselves.
May 30, 2026
Amidst the same magnificent sunlight."

The more I try to think about card games, the more I feel like the problems of combo decks and card economy are unsolvable. It seems impossible to think up a system that's fundamentally interactive that doesn't devolve into a war of attrition (when it should, at the very least, be a gamble.) Your card game will eventually devolve into rote-learned 90% Solitaire with a handful of instances of interaction which are pretty much gambles or pure control where all your cool cards essentially boil down to a singular gamble that they can't negate your negate of their negate or whatever and that your action won't somehow lead to them making an unbreakable board. When I describe them like this, they sound very similar. Because they kind of are. The end result is a game with very few meaningful choices. What's worse is that these types of decks often coexist in trading card games and they produce matches which neither side enjoys. And although they can coexist, there is basically no middleground. No middleground that is meta, stays meta, and is how the game is played by pros or even the majority of players for the majority of the game's lifespan. No, the middleground is not a deck that can pivot between combo and control; both essentially can and do even when played purely. The true middleground of interactivity (that isn't just hinging on a +1 negation making the game unwinnable) seems like it's impossible to enforce as "the game" unlike just leaning completely into combo or control. Part of that is powercreep, the other part is "Well, how?" which is usually just combos and controls being weak and incomplete (which circles right back to powercreep.) I'm trying but I don't know if my solutions are enough.

I know I'm speaking very generally. I don't really know Magic The Gathering or really, Yu-Gi-Oh! This is just how I feel. You can call me an idiot for feeling so strongly about a topic I objectively don't know much about like you can always do but I suspect no one cares about the topic enough to do so.

We remember, and will always remember, every brother-in-arms we lost in Olenivka, every Azov serviceman tortured by the Russians in captivity. Remember them too. Speak of them, talk about them, and do everything possible so that their deaths, and what they did for our state, are not in vain.
In total, 406 Ukrainians, military and civilian, are known to have been killed by the Russians in their torture chambers. The Russians use 695 (!!!) different methods of torture against Ukrainian prisoners. The whole world must know the scale of our enemy's bloodlust and sadism.
Azov continues to strike the enemy to avenge the shame of captivity, and takes prisoners to bring all our brothers-in-arms home. This is our front, and our part of the work. We call on everyone working on prisoner exchanges, in Ukraine and abroad, and everyone with influence and an audience, to keep drawing attention to the Russians' particular treatment of Azov prisoners of war and to make every effort toward their return.
More than 600 Azov prisoners of war remain in Russian captivity, including around 100 who survived the explosion at the Olenivka barrack. Many of them sustained injuries that the Russians failed to treat properly, and these people must be exchanged first.
We are obligated to bring back every one of them. Obligated to avenge every one of them. And to always remember the price we pay for our state's existence! - RL No.30126

Was reading about some Japanese business guy and war criminal that loved Benito Mussolini recently. He and his men flew out to Rome to meet Mussolini who he described as "the perfect fascist and dictator". After the war, he managed to get released along with other class A war criminals. People speculate it could either be a lack of evidence or because they simply didn't have the resources to try all these men as war criminals. I subscribe to the latter. After his release, he founded the World Anti-Communist League and the Nippon Foundation. Didn't read about either of them, but they both seem to be active still. Interesting person. I read about another guy that day, but I'll post about that later

This is a game for anyone who likes games. That's the review.
If you don't like The Curse of Kubel, I'm sorry to say, but you're simply wrong.
The Curse of Kubel is a game that shows you why you love this medium in the first place. It takes obvious inspiration from the greatest RPGs that came before it, yet builds on their foundation to create something that's completely it's own. Instead of just using elements as influence, it combines them into something entirely unique. And the result is nothing short of a masterpiece. I don't know how else to say it, this game is a love letter to video games.
Every moment is packed with so much soul. Every seemingly insignificant piece of dialogue or flavor text serves a purpose. The writing is UNBELIEVABLY intentional, to the point where it makes you question how it's possible for one man to come up with this stuff. Nothing, and I mean nothing feels wasted in this game. The Curse of Kubel is oozing with personality.
Speaking of personality, the characters need to be mentioned too. The Curse of Kubel's cast is incredibly memorable. They feel like real people with their own flaws, motivations, and so much more and aren't just basic RPG stereotypes. Every joke lands, no matter how corny or stupid it is, because you truly grow to love these characters. You'll even find yourself growing attached to the enemies because of this same reason.
Which brings me to my next point, the gameplay.
The Curse of Kubel's combat expands on Absolvement of Viscaria's genre defying battle system by introducing multiple party members. Despite its deceptively basic foundation, it's endlessly fun. Even still, many encounters (especially the boss fights) introduce gimmicks that break the game's own conventions, making each one feel unique. But what truly sets The Curse of Kubel apart is how Yasagure Kitsuenjyo transforms battles into storytelling. Every attack pattern, mechanic, gimmick, ACT, etc. tells you something about the characters you're facing. Combat isn't a part of the game that happens between story moments, it IS the story. Every encounter builds up the characters, the world, and does things that I've rarely seen another game accomplish.
And now… obviously, I gotta talk about the music.
I have no idea how one person can miss this little. Every single track in this game perfectly captures the mood of the scene it's written for. With every new chapter, I find myself with a new favorite song (or like 5) from the soundtrack. It's the kind of soundtrack that stays in your head LONGGGG after you've closed the game.
I think the most important thing about The Curse of Kubel is that it knows exactly what it is: a video game. It embraces the strength of the medium instead of trying to be something it's not. And because of this, Yasagure Kitsuenjyo is able to deliver an incredible, extremely meta narrative that defies the medium itself. Actually, that's wrong. It's an example of something that perfectly understands the medium and plays flawlessly within its rules. It's one of those gems that reminds you why games are such a special artform in the first place.
I have no idea how Yasagure Kitsuenjyo managed to create something that's this consistently amazing, but I'm eternally grateful he did.
If you dislike this game, you are wrong.

And I've heard things about how something will be the best comic ever but that's more about the #INDUSTRY than the medium. I may need to shove my foot in my mouth but it certainly seems like it's a lot easier to be an independent game dev than it is to be an independent comic artist.

Especially when medieval time is often considered to be the "
varletdiest" period in human history (AKA the "Christian Dark Ages") and when Reddit is full of atheist progressive types.
It got me thinking, what would the Reddit franchises look like if instead of medieval European fantasy (reduced to a pop-culture version of itself and filled with modernisms for Redditors to enjoy) they were instead based around an alternate historical setting like, say, the Wild West.
No.30467
>>30460Most of what Epstein did was trading influence, the sex parties which sometimes contained underage girls were a side effect of that. He was not powerful because there is a huge demand among elites for sex with children, he was powerful because he became connected with a lot of powerful people and played gobbledygook high society games. Normaltards believe this is only the tip of the iceberg and they have discovered some kind of human trafficking ring rather than just Epstein randomly sourcing some children for a weekend. They are confused why the government didn't arrest all the elites (or at least like… most of them idk) for being hecking pedos and breaking the laws yet. I'M NOOOOOOTICING!!!!!
If you haven't seen the moronic discourse you may not understand the distinction I'm making. See: NPCs like this
>>30465 "muh organized human trafficking". Have you ever looked into what the definition of "human trafficking" is, it's some gobbledygook woke UN label that gets applied to widely varying crimes to make them sound sinister. You might as well call Epstein a misogynist too while you're at it

They love the tongue-in-cheek LARP of bullheaded, imperialist American nationalism because it's an established "thing" really enshrined by Stephen Colbert (who might as well be a patron saint of Reddit)
This attitude has lessened with time because (I think) Bush was more treated as a buffoon where there's a lot more legitimate anger around Drumpf. But you seem to forget that r/the_donald was a thing which was the source of all sorts of post-ironic "conservative" cringe. Like, remember when it was basically only a meme to support Drumpf? They openly think that the Federation is evil and that the alien bugs are actually the good guys, and will accuse you of having no "media literacy" if you disagree. Same with the Imperium, the Enclave, Super Earth, etc.
Judge Dredd is an interesting case because the Judges rule having launched a coup and seized power from the evil US president Robert Booth (who is usually written as an analogy for whichever Republican president was the most recent at the time of writing) who started World War 3. This is, of course, not an indictment of democracy because Booth only got in power because of election fraud (once again, a Nixon analogy).
And the TF2 soldier is unironically liked because (despite being satirical) he is an American World War 2 soldier, and World War 2 is one of the (few) time periods that Redditors are selectively patriotic for America. It's the same reason they like B.J. Blazkowicz and G.I. Robot.
They only love bullheaded American nationalism (what they would call "patridiotic") because it's a means to mock America which they hate (unless it's the America of the Civil War or World War 2, due to aforementioned Selective Patriotism).
>But if you're making them fight space Nazis and they're multicultural (le power of the melting pot) and shit and they're clearly portrayed as dumb and myopic, Reddit will slurp it up. No, the good guys are supposed to be intelligent and progressive and also a plucky and heroic band of underdogs, it's the Space Nazis who are supposed to be dumb and myopic.

smurf Soldier was doing during "the Nazi killing spree" especially because he stopped in 1949. The Soldier also clearly hates communists a lot more than Nazis considering what he says to the Heavy (who doesn't even support the USSR) and what he DOESN'T say to the Medic. The Medic is obviously inspired by Nazi scientists and he's been implied to have been involved in WW2. You can say that they're skirting around the idea because of poor taste but again, they still imply it. For all we know, the Soldier was killing civilians in the East Bloc. This is a side tangent at this point but I doubt him being tenuously involved in WW2 is a core reason. Again, they just like the caricature.
>Only insofar as it's a "parody">Judge Dredd>No, the good guys are supposed to be intelligent and progressive and also a plucky and heroic band of underdogs, it's the Space Nazis who are supposed to be dumb and myopicBut if you make it dumb vs. dumb, gray vs. black (40k), they'll have no problem with siding with patriotic idiots.
You don't need to explain to me that it's ironic. I said exactly that. Among other things, I seriously doubt your communication skills sometimes. But you are right that they do have selective (sincere) patriotism which makes again, invoking WW2 but portraying America as flawed ("problematic" and generally just sort of retarded) would be a genius formula.
I was going to bring up Reddit's relationship with machismo the other post but didn't think it was relevant but again, selective love ("woah… woodworking and beards are so badass") and ironic enjoyment if they're a parody. Hank Hill, Ron Swanson, whatever. Give the Space America oldy-timey speech and have
wwomenfolk rolling their eyes at the bloodthirsty men in charge and again, they'll roll over for it.

It feels like forum atheist shit. There's no historical basis, this is a really limp "own." We can stick ours thumbs up our asses and say that MUH BASED PAGANISM was equally as ineffectual because asking Odin didn't save their faith.
I don't have any strong contention when you say "Christianity uprooted native cultures", sure, fine, but the solution just being a "Let's go back" LARP is so

More proof of the parallel Bowman theory. Only with their powers combined can they make a music funny that will defeat Woodstock for good.
https://youtu.be/XGWxJaZpDXo?si=GfpSzAyl5xJCsM1z&t=41I clicked this video for good and I was a little shocked. It feels very dated, it's a bunch of

homophones under the pretext of baby irony, it feels very quintessential Tumblr. (I guess it's good that some people never change though I'd say he changed a bit and then didn't change.) But then you get this which is sort of off-the-cuff. I guess vague anti-Semitic canards are chill if you're woke enough on Twitter? (That's another thing they share.)
No.30820
>>30817>behind the scenes autofellatioAnd I understand the desire for such a thing, egocentric as it may be, if the project was incredibly influential (uuuuuuh, kind of up to debate with Undertale, popular isn't really the same thing as "influential") and went through a really iterative process but from what we know, Undertale was basically just "I was inspired by some games. Here are some jokes my friends made. Here are some sprites my friends made." And the game took two years which is a standard development time, and he had a lot of money from the Kickstarter. I know he probably likes teasing the fanbase on LORE but really, I don't even know what this museum would have. I feel like it's just going to be shit like "Sans had a red jacket at first."
Compare that to Evangelion. You will be reminded of Evangelion.

Also, Undertale isn't really that big of a game. It'd be like making a museum for just the first Mario game.
